A
while ago I read about artist trading cards or ATCs. They are original works of art in the standard 2.5" by 3.5" trading card
size and are usually exchanged by their creators at swap events.
Some people do snail mail exchanges. Has anyone here
had any experience with either type of exchange?
If this topic is new to you, here are some web sites, where you can

Artist Trading cards
Now, I want to tell about a new idea that I had. It is to create Commercial Artist Trading Cards or CATC's. These
are standard commercially produced trading cards that feature a work of art and can substitute for an artist's business card. They could be handed out at art shows, ATC swap meets, or anywhere that potential
collectors congregate.
I just ordered a CATC of my
painting, Mourning in New York, from Mint Cards, http://www.mintcards.cc
When
you visit their web site, check in the gallery for a high quality image of my card. If the image is not on the first page, search for card number 20070873.
Here is what the cards will look
like.
